One happy rookie travel writer…

02-Travel-tips-twitter-social-media-ann-brampton-sept2013I’m a travel nut and I’m not shy about it. I have so many destinations on my bucket list that I’d need a couple lifetimes to get them all done! Of course, I just can’t travel enough, things get in the way, cash flow, work, life… money specially lol!

I’ve always loved to write, travel themes seemed a natural way to go other than Social Media as it’s what I do every day. Being a paid travel writer has been a big goal of mine so I set out to get that going. Interesting enough, on one of those low low days where I was in no mood to work I started searching for “travel writing” jobs online. I came across an offer from Vagabondish.com, it was an old job post but figured I’d write in anyway… the worst they could say was no right?

My first article for Vagabondish.com has been published “Twitter Travel Guide: How to Use Twitter Like a Pro when Visiting a New City”. It’s not a feature but it’s a start, I’m learning and I’m loving it. Article #2 will be out soon and I’m excited, I’m a work in progress but a happy “rookie travel writer” with a big smile.

Happy reading…
