There’s this one feeling I get every now and then in my life that I just have never been able to describe. It’s like a sense of loss and confusion but at the same time it’s a time to recap and make some new decisions. It’s bittersweet in some way, a yucky feeling deep down mixed with an urgency to review what I’m doing just to make sure it’s what I want, need. Every time I get to this point, I begin to feel a high about certain aspects in my life but at the same time I feel dry inside… and funny enough both those words are one of my favourite songs in the whole world. I’ll try to explain:
Recapitulation: the art of recapturing lost energy stored in the muscles of the body from thoughts & feelings of past events, a natural healing process. Self Re-examination.
Regret: to feel sorrow or remorse for (an act, fault, disappointment, etc.); to think with a sense of loss
Overcome: to get the better of in a struggle or conflict; conquer; prevail, to overpower or overwhelm in body or mind.
Frustration: a feeling of dissatisfaction, often accompanied by anxiety or depression, resulting from unfulfilled needs or unresolved problems.
Thoughtful: occupied with or given to thought; contemplative; meditative; reflective: in a thoughtful mood.
Mute: silent; refraining from speech or utterance. not emitting or having sound of any kind, incapable of speech; dumb.
HIGH AND DRY
Two jumps in a week
I bet you think that’s pretty clever don’t you boy?
Flying on your motorcycle,
Watching all the ground beneath you drop
You’d kill yourself for recognition,
Kill yourself to never ever stop
You broke another mirror,
You’re turning into something you are not Read the rest of this entry »

There is no pain, you are receding.
A distant ships smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves.
Your lips move but I cant hear what youre sayin.
When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse,
Out of the corner of my eye.
I turned to look but it was gone.
I cannot put my finger on it now.
The child is grown, the dream is gone.
I have become comfortably numb.

And I’m back with lyrics, life has been busy but good, very good… I’m happy and smiling and today I just feel like posting lyrics. I discovered these guys through my daughter of course, kids now teach us about music, what can you do about it! Enjoy…
Be Still My Heart
I was running late for work
So I didn’t change my shirt
The evening’s drinks left a lingering taste in my mouth
And when I left
You were fast asleep
Tangled in the sheets
And on the bus I could have sworn it was all a dream
And it didn’t happen to me
And then I felt the scrapes
From the slippery subway grate.
Oh how you laughed
At my complete lack of grace.
But I could not recall
A more perfect fall
Cause when I looked up into your eyes
It didn’t hurt at all.
And I thought, be still my heart
This could be a brand new start, with you.
And it will be clear
If I wake up and you’re still here with me in the morning.
And I thought, be still my heart
This could be a brand new start, with you.
And it will be clear
If I wake up and you’re still here with me in the morning.

SONG | LYRICS BY: Eagles
All alone at the end of the of the evening
And the bright lights have faded to blue
I was thinking ’bout a woman who might have
Loved me and I never knew
You know I’ve always been a dreamer
(spent my life running ’round)
And it’s so hard to change
(Can’t seem to settle down)
But the dreams I’ve seen lately
Keep on turning out and burning out
And turning out the same
So put me on a highway
And show me a sign
And take it to the limit one more time
You can spend all your time making LOVE
You can spend all your love making TIME
If it all fell to pieces tomorrow
Would you still be mine? Read the rest of this entry »

LYRIC TIME!! This song has so much meaning to me that I cannot even begin to describe… it brings back beautiful memories of someone whom I cared for deeply and died tragically about 6 years ago. The funny thing is, he was special to me because he came into my life during a very difficult time - my divorce. He taught me one and only one thing, the importance of being myself and finding the real ME. Today I had a very interesting conversation with a very interesting someone about this very subject, about the importance of always staying true to ourselves, who we are, whatever stage in life we’re at. Funny enough, this person brings out a lot of good things in me, very similar to that one person I lost long ago… a new wonderful feeling.
An important phrase in this song, “Mereces lo que sueñas”, which means, you deserve whatever you dream… I’m beginning to live my dream, and it feels good, very good…
