This weekend I had the strangest experience ever, I got judged way too quickly for my liking and it wasn’t a pretty experience. Hey, I’m not bad looking at all, I might need to shed a couple pounds but I’m working on it, who doesn’t need to shed a couple here and there? All in all, I think I’m a pretty good catch, smart, independent, good looking, not to mention a trick or two I have under my sleeve. I began to think, why is it that people pass judgment on each other without even taking the time to get to know them? What ever happened to taking a little time to get to know someone and discover their inner beauty?
The Dailai Lama once said “youngsters these days fall in love due to external attraction, which will eventually wear off, and this leaving them with the inevitable focus on the inner ugliness”. But what is ugly? Is ugly to be fat, have acne, walk funny or wear glasses? Isn’t it better to put aside how people look and focus on who they are and what they can provide in a friendship/relationship? Lets be realistic here and say that boy/girl intimacy requires that “click”, the chemistry, we can all we agree on that, there is no “switch” that can make you feel attracted to someone in order to have sex. But let’s be more general, must we always pass judgment so quickly? Read the rest of this entry »

Monday has arrived, and yet again, it seems like I just cannot manage to have one of my usual positive sunny and happy mornings. It is sunny though, (oh wait, rain is here) and the weekend went pretty well, except for the fact that I had to literally climb up and around my front gate to get into my house some time early Sunday morning after my night out LOL.
So my Monday blues started today right smack at 6am in the morning when I stumbled over to the kitchen to get my coffee going before getting in the shower, the water supply had been cut off, nice! I won’t get into details about how me and me kids managed to get clean and ready before heading out for the day. I finally get to the office and surprise, surprise, my laptop starts crashing every second… great, anything else for today? So again I rush off in the scorching heat to see the IT guy in hopes of being able to officially start my day sometime before 12 mid day.
So back to the office with no A/C in my car (or the one I’m currently driving because my own car sucks!), laptop seems to be working, got my cold green tea and then, the internet is down, how can I not laugh!?
Let’s just make this story short because obviously my internet is back and my work day officially started at 1:36 pm. I thought I’d take 5 and just look up something on “Monday Blues”, not that I’m blue and I certainly have managed to keep a good mood. I found online a few suggestions to beat days like this one, my day is almost over but they might become useful to somebody eventually. I love the suggestions, somewhat unrealistic to apply to my personal life but let’s see! Read the rest of this entry »

First of all I’d like to thank my friends for all the nice comments about my “Are you Interested?” rant, had no idea people would actually find it interesting enough to read all the way through. Funny enough, I did get one comment from a girl who decided to rant against me, nice huh!? The best thing is that she didn’t even write about the article, it was more like a personal attack, get over it, whatever it is! Of course, I decided not to post it, just to piss her off a little! lol
Its funny how people in this world have their own set of rules, I sure have mine. I am originally British and have lived here in Costa Rica long enough to adopt some of the Latin characteristics, all the good ones, I like to think. I think the foundation of my mind still remains very British and it is why sometimes I live by certain rules that maybe are not the same as the ones most people have in this country. You see, I think that we all choose to live the way we want to live, there is no set of rules other than those of common sense. We all suffer the consequences of our actions so who are we to judge or say that someone else has done wrong?
So this person that wrote in, accused me of using the word “girl” to describe myself, honey, according to where I come from, the word girl means female. If you still have your doubts, look it up. Wikipedia says that “ a girl is any female human from birth through childhood and adolescence to attainment of adulthood and may also mean a young woman.” I don’t know about you but in my mind I am a girl, meaning I have certain body parts that would normally describe myself as a full blown female. I suggest that if English isn’t your first language and you are not an open minded person, then maybe you should stay away from reading my stuff. Read the rest of this entry »

Ok, so I found the funniest website today, Menarejerks.com. Don’t get me started about how I even got there, I’d have to go on about the large amount of jerks, uh, men that I have met throughout my single life; not to be taken personally by anyone, but if the glove fits haha. So women use this space to “rant” about the guys they meet, date, sleep with or not. Very, very funny stuff. Needless to say, you have the odd male writing in opposition to all the male bashing going on and giving the excuse that men are not jerks, they’re just men (huh!?). Ranting is ranting buddy, described as a monologue that does not present a clear and calm argument… so yes, men can be jerks. So why do we still fall for them? According to this website, this is why:
1. Its more fun to complain about them to your friends.
2. Guys who actually like you aren’t challenging or exciting (not to mention other obvious stuff!)
3. When you do meet nice guys, they turn into jerks anyway. (certainly agree with this one!)
4. You won’t get as emotionally attached to a jerk.
5. All other women seem to want them, so they must be worth having.
6. Affection means more when it comes from a jerk who doesn’t normally give it.
7. Guaranteed to cheat on you so someone else can endure his lack of lovemaking skills most of the time.
8. No need to feel guilty for abusing or deceiving them.
9. Jerks will actually tell you when they don’t like what you’re doing instead of getting mad about it six months later.
10. Looking for someone you can’t trust, and won’t care about too much.
So what do you think?

I was angry on this day, someone that hurt me really bad decided to come back into my life with no regards as to the past. Obviously I was still hurt because I came up with this lol
Days and weeks had made it right, once upon a time you and I, were just so tight.
I was the one you needed, turned and clinged to, until you were gone over and over again.
I got tired of begging you remember? But all that had gone
I asked you to give me my place, for all I had done, and I just had to move on
And now you’ve done wrong, you had to turn way
You just had to see how, how far you could go
Just leave me alone, and recognize that you had your chance, I just had to move on
And now I beg you again, go away and leave me alone
For I am still moving on
